Sustainability

At GreenScenes, we take sustainability seriously by crafting interior graphics that transform spaces and cultivate a greener tomorrow.

Proudly Following SuperGraphics' EcoFormat® Initiative

GreenScenes is a division of SuperGraphics, a pioneer of sustainability for large-format printing. Not only is SuperGraphics a Sustainable Green Printing Partner (SGP) and EnviroStars certified facility, but they’re also the inventor of the EcoFormat® sustainable print initiative.

At GreenScenes, we follow the EcoFormat® process for every project, resulting in zero landfill waste production.

Produced with PVC-Free Materials

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a non-recyclable plastic that is harmful to manufacture and takes tens of years to biodegrade in the landfill. At GreenScenes, we exclusively produce interior graphics on EcoFormat® materials that are free of PVC and can be cleanly recycled through our recycling partnerships.

Production Designed around Zero-Landfill Waste Production

Our workflow is a variation of the EcoFormat® Sustainability Cycle. All pre-consumer waste is recycled, resulting in zero landfill waste production from project start to finish.

ECOFORMAT® CYCLE

Recycling Offered for Every Order

Not all state recyclers are capable of recycling our interior graphics. However, GreenScenes has partnered with a local recycling facility that is capable of giving a clean second use to all PVC-free materials as GigaFuel™, a low-carbon fuel for energy production.

With EcoFormat® Recycling, you can return your used graphics to GreenScenes to be cleanly recycled. Customers are responsible for freight to our Seattle facility.

FAQ's about Sustainability

How are GreenScenes' graphics sustainable?
GreenScenes is a division of SuperGraphics, the inventor of the EcoFormat® Sustainability Initiative and an SGP-certified print facility. GreenScenes follows the same EcoFormat® materials and processes as SuperGraphics, guaranteeing that interior graphics from GreenScenes contribute to zero landfill waste.
What makes EcoFormat® materials sustainable?
EcoFormat® materials are free of Polyvinyl chloride(PVC), a non-recyclable plastic that is both harmful to manufacture and biodegrade. GreenScenes also offers EcoFormat® Recycling, as they've partnered with a local recycler that is capable of giving a clean second use to all PVC-free materials. All waste is converted to GigaFuel, a low-carbon fuel substitute used for energy production.
How is GreenScenes' production process sustainable?
GreenScenes follows the EcoFormat™ Sustainability Cycle, resulting in zero landfill waste production from start to finish.
Is the installation process sustainable?
Yes! Any waste produced during the installation process is returned to GreenScenes for EcoFormat® Recycling.
What is an SGP Certified Facility?
GreenScenes is a division of SuperGraphics, the only commercial and large format printer in Washington to achieve SGP Certification. SGP is the leading non-profit accreditation organization for sustainability in printing and manufacturing operations. Becoming SGP Certified was a two-year process that has helped SuperGraphics implement best waste reduction practices, improve process efficientcies, conserve energy, lower our carbon footprint, create a safer workplace, and adopt comprehensive annual continuous improvement programs.
Is EcoFormat® offered anywhere else?
EcoFormat® is currently only offered at GreenScenes and its parent company, SuperGraphics.
If we remove the interior graphics, can they be recycled?
Yes! These materials are non-recyclable through your traditional state recyclers. However, if you return your used graphics to GreenScenes, they can be recycled through our EcoFormat&reg Recycling partnership. Customers are responsible for freight to our Seattle facility.
